There are three basic groups of Spanish verbs, in these articles we will look at the regular AR, ER and IR verbs.. In this part we will concentrate on regular ER and IR verbs in the present tense.

There are three basic groups of Spanish verbs, in these articles we will look at the regular AR, ER and IR verbs.. In this part we will concentrate on regular ER and IR verbs in the present tense.

In Part 1,we learned that a verb is a “doing?word that covers everything from an action to an opinion, so sing, drink, eat,, like, dislike, love, kick, fall, smile, hear, write turn, are all examples of verbs. In the English language the verb is not changed by who is doing the action. An example would be;
“I like cheese? “we like cheese?and “you like cheese? the verb “like?stays the same. In Spanish the form of the verb is changed by who is doing the action.

In the first part we concentrated on regular verbs ending in the letters a and r. The other two groups of regular verbs are the verbs that end in er and ir.

Verbs Ending In ER

One of the words meaning to repair in Spanish is rehacer, if we want to say ?I repair cars?in Spanish, we drop the e and r from the end of rehacer and add an o, to give “rehaco los coches?los coches, is literally the cars). There is no need for the Spanish word for I (Yo) at the beginning of the sentence because by adding the er, we have changed the verb to referrer it to me.
If we wanted to say “you repair cars?to one person, we would remove the er and add es. giving us “rehaces los coches? there is no need to use t?(the Spanish for you) as the change to rehacer has already specified the subject of the sentence.
When we are learning basic Spanish verbs and wanting to say that he or she repairs cars, we can use “rehace los coches? just add an e to the shortened rehacer. This is also the proper way to use the verb when talking to someone you’ve never met before or in a formal situation.
“We repair cars?can be said by the addition of emos to give us “rehacemos los coches?
Still with us on this one? Well if we wanted to say “they repair cars? we would drop the er and add en, to form “rehacen los coches?
Lastly, if we are talking to a group when saying “you repair cars?we would remove the er and add éis, as so ?rehacéis los coches?

IR Verbs

Regular verbs ending in ir behave in the same way as regular er verbs in every case apart from one which we will get to, but let us look at the similarities first. The similarities are; for I (yo) drop the ir and add e, for you (t? drop ir and add es, for he/she/formal version of you (él, ella, usted) drop the ir and add e, and you when addressing more than person drop the ir for en.
The exception to the rule that ir verbs are the same as er verbs can be seen if we use WE. I we use “we climb mountains?as an example, the Spanish for climb is subir , “we climb mountains?can be “subimos las sierras? so here we have dropped the ir and replaced it with imos.

So thats how we learn basic Spanish verbs, I hope its been helpful, and also hope that this will be the start of of a larger appreciation of the Spanish language.

Miami Schools are offering a range of summer professional development courses for its public school teachers and administrators in order to help teachers meet federal requirements and learn new methods and approaches to teaching. Teachers are eligible to take one Summer Heat course. These courses will be offered during June and July. Most courses last about a week and meet from 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM daily.

The teacher must attend every day of the session in order to receive Master Plan Points. The Miami ?Dade County School District’s Master Plan Points Program help teachers earn the graduate level credits that they need to meet the Highly Qualified Teacher Status outlined by the No Child Left Behind Act. Six Master Plan Points per day are awarded for all the courses with the exception of those that grant actual college credit.

Professional Development for Teachers

Miami ?Dade County School District teachers benefit from a range of courses that help focus their teaching on special at ?risk groups as well as providing instruction in key subject areas. Many courses focus on the needs of children with Limited English Proficiency. These courses help teachers improve literacy of Limited English Proficiency students as well as learn culturally sensitive techniques for including such children in the general classroom. Other special groups include children with autism and children with behavioral problems.

In addition to these special groups, Miami ?Dade County School District teachers have the opportunity to enrich their teaching of various core subjects. Courses abound in all aspects of literacy and mathematics as well as science, the arts, and social studies. Both elementary and secondary education is covered, including preparation for teaching the Advanced Placement (AP) Examinations at the secondary school level. On the other end of the spectrum, special attention is also given to the design and implementation of Pre ?Kindergarten curriculum. Principals, Principal Trainees, and other support staff have opportunities to learn how to improve their own performance and to help motivate the teachers on their staffs. The Principal Preparation Program runs courses for Principal Trainee both in their first and second year of training. Several meetings of the Assistant Principal Academy are scheduled to help teachers make the transition to administrative roles. In addition, the role of the school psychologist and the teacher ?counselor are also explored in various course offerings. The School Support Team also has a variety of courses to choose form in learning how to implement school reform.

Right to education has become fundamental right in Indian statues books in 2002, as once Indian parliament had given its approval to 86th constitutional amendment in 2002 under article 21A of constitution. According to this every Indian child 6-14 year of age has fundamental right to free and compulsory education. Additional to this government of India has introduced a bill called “Right to education bill 2005? which deal with early age child care and education for all children until they acquired the age of six. It also says that, it is the fundamental duty of every Indian parent to provide equal opportunities to his/her children of age of 6-14years to get education.

What are the reasons behind this all?
1. 25% of Indian population still live below poverty line means <one dolor/day. (appox. 26 cores people). For them food is theirs first priority, out of total 226204139 population (6-14 year age group) 56573568 are from below poverty line families. To keep them with studies needs extra motivated approach, which missing today in national education system.
2. The low adoption of modern education system by Muslims.
India is a multi religions nation.

Above facts clearly tell the whole tale itself. 30.8% of my Muslim friends are remaining illiterate in target age for universal elementary education campaign (6-14 year). This is highest among all religious population in India. It is largely because, Muslims prefer theirs religious education over modern education.

The Indian society is fully male dominant. The gender equation always tilts towards male section of society, decline sex ratio; numbers of women in different parts of society to government position is clear cut message of bias ness towards women in my part of world. This is also a hurdle in making my school/class fully humane. (Where every child of age 6-14 year can attend it
without any consideration of caste, creed, religion and gender).Please go through it. After making every girl child into school/class room, then and only than we can see education for all in real sense.

Education system of India is urban centric, Every financial capable Indian parent want to send theirs kids to these urban schooling, so big gap has been created in favors of urban because all good schools, educational institutions and universities are based in urban areas.

The education in India is subject of all and none to responsibility. As per Indian constitution education fall in concurrent list, which mean federal and state governments has its say on this all important subject of human development. Following are my care takers.

4. Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (Setting up unto 750 residential schools with boarding facilities at elementary level for girls belonging predominantly to the SC, ST, OBC and minorities in difficult areas.)
5. Programme of Mobilizing Local Support to Primary Schools (PLUS)(launched in 2004 to get additional local resources by local support.)
6. 86th constitutional amendment in 2002 under article 21A of constitution. (every Indian child 6-14year of age has fundamental right to free and compulsory education)

What I require?
As above stated programmes and schemes are being run by different federal and state governments agencies for me but still I am not able to reach school yet. So to get me enroll in school, I require following.

Above pictorial facts show that developed nations has always less Students/teacher ratio as compare to developing side, but some developing nations has achieved shoulder to shoulder with developed ones like China, Iraq etc. As identical to China, I require one teacher for 19 students of my class.
2. One School in one kilometer radius.
India has 2973190sq.km Land area. AS one school with in one kilo meter radius need approximately 2000000 primary schools, where as only 664041 schools are for me. This clearly means 1335959 more schools I require to get my education near to my home.
3. Free education for all
As per 86th constitutional amendment has ensured me free and compulsory education (6-14year age). But in practical rural India and some urban, it is too implemented in true sprit.
4. Common education system across India.
As in India education is subject for all but responsibility of none, because there is not a uniform education system in nation. This has made me more vulnerable when I have to move around nation in my 6-14 year’s child hood. So I need a common education system across the nation to make me easy at every part of country as same.
5. Education in my mother tongue
Language is the first barrier which a child has to face in his/her school entrance in India. If it is removed than I may really not fear to attend my school as I do now. Which in latter becomes substantial reason of my drop out from schools.
Where lay my future?
My future is lying in your hands. The world fraternity has pledged in April 2000 at Dakar (Senegal), education for all unto 2015 A.D. Where as my Indian education planners has set 2010A.D for me to be in school/class room. Last not the least is my humble request to all who are concerned with this mission “education for all?that kindly look into above plight, so that my right for universal elementary education will be available to my every brethren and sisters at the time of theirs birth.

Have a small rep count. The limit really should be set at 6 or 8 reps, as once you go beyond this, you are working the slow twitch muscle fibers. Additionally, it indicated that males have the highest dropout rate of 20 to 30 percent and are most likely “at risk?of not graduating from high school with a diploma.

It is said that when a student drops out of school, he/she drops into the criminal justice system. In 2002, the U.S. incarcerated its two millionth person. Of those in prison at the time, 82 percent were high school dropouts.

Dropouts cost our economy billions of dollars each year, and not just from the cost of incarceration. They are an undereducated work force that retards our economic and social development. Businesses cannot depend upon a large portion of graduating students to fill much-needed jobs, which translates to lost government tax revenues. State governments lose money through welfare payments, unemployment and crime prevention programs.
